About This Position:
The Vascular Access RN Coordinator reports to Assistant Director of Nursing and partners with the HEIC Medical Director, Hospital Quality Officers, VAT, and other stakeholders to support efforts to implement evidence-based practices to eliminate central-line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI).
You will be responsible for planning, implementing and/or evaluating defined programs/projects including education, performance improvement, information systems, organizational systems, administration, and human resources.

You will be responsible for planning, implementing and/or evaluating defined programs/projects including education, performance improvement, information systems, organizational systems, administration, and human resources.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identification of educational needs and partnering with appropriate teams to ensure appropriate intervention and education occur for staff.
- Create and provide staff education related to CLABSI prevention as well as educate and support educators throughout the organization to provide CLABSI education.
- Create house wide education for frontline nursing staff.
- Work with VAD Committee to review, update, and validate JHH policies related to Vascular Access.
- Coordinate and review educational requirements and competencies for VAT
- Support and participate in interdisciplinary performance and quality improvement processes at the unit and hospital level.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; current enrollment in master's degree program may be considered.
- Five years of clinical nursing experience with at least two years of vascular skills.
- Advanced knowledge of national guidelines related to Vascular Access and CLABSI prevention strategies.
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland
