JOB SUMMARY: Greenville Public Schools is seeking a Head Varsity Football Coach to coordinate, instruct, motivate, and organize the Greenville High School Varsity football team.
Preference will be given to a candidate willing to fill an anticipated high school teaching vacancy starting with the 24/25 school year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned
- Teach sports techniques, playing rules, strategies, and tactics
- Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength, and agility
- Supervise and conduct practices and contests safely
- Engage with youth athletic development programs
- Instruct and lead other coaches
- Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility
- Monitor athlete school attendance, grades, and personal conduct
- Respond to player injuries with approved first aid techniques
- Manage uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner
- Supervise locker rooms
- Work with and in support of students, parents, and athletic director
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong leadership skills
- Willingness to lead a district-wide Class A program in a competitive league
- Promotion of positive program climate initiatives
- Organized
- Strong motivator
- Excellent communication and public relation strategies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Three years of successful coaching experience in a relevant sport at the high school level
- Three years of successful teaching experience preferred
