Position Type: Varsity Football Head Coach

Wages: Consistent with TREA Master Bargaining Agreement; Schedule C
Purpose:
The Three Rivers Community Schools Varsity Football Head Coach, under the direction of the Athletic Director, will promote Wildcat athletics and general physical fitness along with a focus on skill development as positive extra-curricular activities within the overall academic experience available to our students. Potential opportunity for teaching position available to qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications:
- Satisfactory performance in present position and be outgoing, positive, energetic, self-motivated, and able to work alone and unsupervised. Candidates must maintain a professional attitude at all times.
- High School Diploma.
- Ability and willingness to work and communicate positively with students, staff, administrators, parents, community, and press/media.
- Able to teach fundamentals of football along with regulations, rules, and strategies.
- Knowledge of facilities, equipment, and emergency first aid care.
- Commitment to philosophy of fair play and sportsmanship.
- Committed to supporting the school, school district, and athletic conference; attending related meetings.
- Available for practices, contests, and bus trips, including those scheduled on weekends. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job duty.
- Willingness to seek opportunities for self and program improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education
- Must have experience as a head Varsity Football coach at the high school or collegiate level or at least three years as a varsity offensive or defensive Coordinator or head junior varsity Head Coach.
- Demonstrated willingness to maintain and enforce the rules of MHSAA and all school district codes of conduct related to school and competitive sports.
- Recognized skills in the development of an effective team of coaches and strength & conditioning coach
- Experience formulating and operating a fiscally sound budget including fundraising activities.
