Performsvaletparkingservicestomove guests vehicles safely and efficientlytoadesignatedparkinglocation causing no damage to the vehicles while following departmental policies, rules, andprocedures.Worksunderdirectsupervisionofadesignatedsupervisor.
CharacteristicDutiesandResponsibilities
1.Clip parking stubs to guest keys, places matching tags in vehicle visible through vehicles windshields, providesguests with tags for claiming parked vehicles. Drives vehicles to designated Valet Parking locations,parks,secures,andnotesthespaceofthevehicle,logs,returnsthetagandkeystothevaletkeypodium/booth.
2.Alertssecuritystaffand/orsupervisorofanypotentialhazardoussituations.
3.Inspectsvehiclestodetectanydamagealertingthesupervisorandguestsofanyandalldamagestothevehicleaswellasanyotherrelevantinformation.
4.Greets all guests, opens the vehicle doors (explains valet procedures and hours of operation), tagkeys,andanswersanyquestionsaguestmayhave.
5.Operatesmanydifferentkindsandsizesofvehicleswithbothstandardandmanualtransmissions.
6.Takes numbered tags from guests and locates vehicles. Upon retrieval/delivery of a vehicle orbefore providing guests with instructions for locating vehicles, secures vehicle until confirmationofpaymentforservice.
7.Places appropriate signage in areas for valet service and retrieves the signs for storage, performsaccesscontrolduties.
8.Maintainsaclean,safe,andprofessionalworkandparkingarea,ensuresthatthespaceusageismaximized.
9.Directsgueststoparkingareasorparkingspaces,providesothergeneraldirectionstomotorists/guests.
10.Performsotherrelateddutiesasassigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUMACCEPTABLEQUALIFICATIONS
CREDENTIALSTOBE VERIFIEDBY PLACEMENT OFFICER
1.Mustbe21yearsofageattimeofappointment.
2.Possession of avalidState of Illinois drivers license with no license suspension or revocationwithin the prior five (5) years (60 months) at time of appointment, the class of the licensedependingonthetypeofthevehicle(s)tobeoperated.
