We are looking for someone to assist leading, monitoring, and training a group of cleaners for our Vacation Rental business. Lead cleaners motivate and inspire their team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, and demonstrates flexibility.
The primary responsibility of a Lead Cleaner is ensuring that our houses are always presented in pristine condition. Our Lead Cleaners inspect work areas and check if any areas have been missed or require additional cleaning and are also responsible to ensure cleaners are properly trained and equipped with the necessary tools and cleaning products. They should provide feedback and coaching to help develop team members whose performance is below the expected standard and report back to management. The shifts are as-needed and this position does clean alongside trainees, as well as on their own individual shifts. It is a cleaning job, but with added responsibilities. In addition to training, this position provides assistance in prepping for our large weekend turnovers, preparing linens, and gift baskets for our guests. We are a growing company, especially in luxury space and are excited to find a motivated new team member looking to grow with the company.
Our business does clean throughout the year and this position has the potential to be part-time year round, with fluxuating hours. Weekends are required, as needed, especially in the summer. Hours could be up to full-time in the summer, if desired.
Pay rate starts at $25/hour depending on capabilities and experience. We are likely looking at an April onboarding for this position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with appropriate training of new cleaners (most with no experience)
- Assess team performance and provide feedback and coaching
- Inspect interior and exterior of homes to ensure they meet company standards
- Motivate team members
- Perform routine inspection and document maintenance issues
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs
- Ability to clean to a luxury standard
- Organizational skills and process oriented
- Prepping linens, cleaning supplies and gift baskets for turnovers
- Monitor inventory and inspect cleaning equipment
- Assist management with daily operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations

Our Vacation Rental homes are in the Kennebunkport through York area, and our office is in Wells. This a part-time year-round position (with full time potential seasonally in the summer.)
