Job Description:
Operating Room RN - Circulator
We are an academic Level 1 Trauma Center with all surgical services; Ortho and Neuro heavy GU, GYN, GYN oncology, robotics, ENT, oral, plastics/micro-recon, transplant, general surgery, surgical oncology, trauma, dental, cardiac, vascular, endovascular, pediatrics, thoracic/pulmonary.
Requirements:
-3 years of level I trauma center Operating Room experience preferred. MUST have Level 1 Trauma experience.
-BLS
-Active Virginia RN license (or compact state)
-Experience in all services, scrub experience preferred.
Shift: Rotating schedule (40 hours per week)
1.5-2 weekends per six week time schedule.
1-1.5 weeks of off shift (3p-11p or 11p-7a) per six week time schedule.
One shift of on call each week (will be on a day you are working).
Two weekend shifts of call (will be on a weekend you are working).
-Prefer 2 8 hour and 2 12 hour shifts per week.
-10 hour shifts are negotiable
COPN for 24 Operating Rooms, we run 32
Nurse to Patient Ratio is 1:1
Unit is located in the Main Hospital, 5th floor
Hospital provided/approved scrub attire
Not all parking lots are free at VCU, the traveler may have to pay for parking. You may ride the bus for free.
