About the Role
Magna New Mobility is a startup inside Magna International, a mobility technology company and one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world. The New Mobility team is building a suite of new products and services to solve complex challenges associated with moving people and goods at scale. We are utilizing Magna’s technology building blocks and capabilities into new markets and use cases. So far we have advanced solutions in micromobility markets (eg Yulu, Yuma, Cartken, among others) and have other projects and target markets still in development around industrial material handling, commercial and autonomous vehicles.
MNM is seeking an imaginative, skillful, and versatile Design Intern with a good understanding of design workflows, user journeys and developing application-based wireframes. As the UX Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with Product Leaders, Software Engineers, and Go to Market teams to conceptualize exceptional user experience for SaaS based applications in the micro-mobility space. This position will be hybrid based in our Lowell office. #LI-hybrid
Your Responsibilities
You will lead UX Design strategy for three new Software as a Service applications in last mile delivery, Autonomous Mobile Robots and E-Bike software applications. Your role includes but is not limited to:
- Create conceptual wireframes, user flows diagrams and low-fidelity prototypes to communicate design concepts for discussion and testing purposes.
- Create and contribute to design system, create detailed screens and engaging usable flows for games and gamified experiences on mobile apps
- Develop Go to Market visualization and strategy
- Taking an active role in implementation and feature delivery
- Contribute to and proactively seek solutions to technical or design challenges.
- Help implement design specifications to ship-able quality.
Who we are looking for
You have an interest in Automotive or Micro Mobility design and have completed studies, projects, and/or work related to the following:
- Experience delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer
- Experience with marketing strategy and partnership
- Experience prototyping new software platforms
- Ability to take the high strategic view as well as dive deep and execute great UX independently
