Form of workCarrus Cares Flower Mound mental health clinic serving the pediatric and adolescent population, is seeking Utilization Review Coordinator (RN or LVN only)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for coordinating andmonitoring day-to-day operations of the utilization management program for theoutpatient clinic.
2. Directs the activities necessary toensure appropriate utilization of the clinic and its resources whilemaintaining optimal achievable standards of patient care.
3. Responsible for analyzing records todetermine legitimacy of patient continued stay by performing concurrentreviews.
4. Participates in treatment team meetingsto report said legitimacy to physicians and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Threeto five years of management experience is preferred.
• Twoyears of experience in psychiatric setting is preferred.
• Requiresgood computer skills.
• Mustbe able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSEAND CERTIFICATION:
• Currentstate Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license is required.
• BLScertification is required upon hire.
• ACLSand PALS certifications are required within 6 months of hire.
• De-escalationtraining is required within 30 days of hire.
