Job Description
The Utility Worker is a valuable member of our team. This position performs heavy lifting and other strenuous tasks as a major assignment; performs a variety of work activities in more than one of the following: janitorial, grounds keeping and simple building maintenance repair work; laundry and dietary tasks and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated, the required education and experience may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experience is credited based on a 40-hour workweek.
Education: None required. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience: None required. Must demonstrate the knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment, basic grounds maintenance practices and uses of common hand tools.
Licensure: Current valid Hawaii State driver’s license, Type 3. EVIDENCE OF LICENSE AND ORIGINAL COPY OF TRAFFIC ABSTRACT is required with the application.

Medical Examination Requirement
Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
