Sawyer Home & Garden Center is now hiring Utility Laborers to join our team!

We are looking for part-time and full-time Utility Laborers to join us for the spring, summer and fall seasons. Our utility team plays a key role in all of our daily operations, helping our establishment run smoothly and keep quality customer service as our #1 priority. From greeting our customers, to helping them every step of the way during their shopping experience, as well as supporting our team with carry-out assistance for patrons and maintaining our building and grounds.

An ideal candidate would have weekend availability and be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.

Duties include but are not limited to

• Maintenance of building and grounds
• Operating a forklift
• Stocking produce
• Moving product and store fixtures, displays, and coolers to new locations around the store as needed
• Unloading deliveries, heavy lifting
• Stocking and facing shelves as needed
• Answering customer questions
• Carry-out to customer cars
• Using a 2-way radio system
• Maintaining a clean and orderly area
• Working indoors and outdoors in all weather
• Use of a forklift and hand tools

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment indoors and outdoors
• Must be able to multitask
• Must be dependable
• Must be a team player, willing to help as needed
• Must be available to work until 7 PM, weekends, and some holidays
• Experience is preferred but not necessary, we will train you!
• This job will require you to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
