Utility Housekeeper, Housekeeping

YOUR MISSION (The Job Description):
The Utility Housekeeper will play an important role in providing cleaning services for assigned areas within the casino, hotel, and back of house. Efficiently utilizing various types of equipment and materials, the Utility Housekeeper will maintain the physical appearance and sanitary conditions of the property for the safety and enjoyment of all employees and guests.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):
This role will work closely with the Assistant Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper to:

• Attend to emergency clean ups, including biohazards/sharps containers, floods, broken glass in assigned sections.
• Remove trash from hotel floors and keep department supply areas organized, stocked, and clean
• Conduct inventory for supply rooms
• Organize and ensure cleanliness of the supply closets and central storage area
• Maintain one or more areas inside the casino, hotel, and back-of-house
• Replenish cleaning chemicals
• Maintain and clean equipment used to perform regular job duties
• Report broken and damaged equipment, furniture, or property
• Maintain standards of excellence by cleaning, meeting guests needs, supplying products to Guest Room Attendants, and collaborating with department
• Perform all duties necessary to ensure success of entire department

MUST HAVE'S

• Ability to read and write in English
• Familiarity with equipment such as buffing machines, extractors, and wet vac's
• Effectively and efficiently move around work area
• Physically fit and able to lift loads up to 70lbs
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal
• Ability to understand and comply with safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S

• Experience with professional cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of processes involved with cleaning various flooring surfaces

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Frequent crouching, pushing/pulling, squatting, and reaching
• Ability to work in temperatures that are hot or cold
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that may present with varying noise levels and secondhand smoke
• Exposure to biohazards
