Job description

Our Design and Customer Experience team is designing business solutions to meet human needs, which requires us to deeply understand the behaviors of Chase's customers as well as Chase's business. We are looking for a creative and resourceful UX Strategist to join our rapidly growing team of innovators, disruptors, and problem solvers.

As a User Experience Design Lead in our Design and Customer Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in defining how we educate and protect our customers as they pay for goods and services directly from their bank accounts. You will develop in-depth knowledge of this emerging payment method, the limitations of the current payment infrastructure, new government regulation, and our business objectives. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to investigate customer perception of this payment method, their problems, and needs. You will use these inputs to craft a User Experience vision and devise impactful experiments to validate your theories with real bank customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand our business, our customers, and the different facets of the industry (economics, regulation, technology, etc.) to identify opportunities and to develop strong strategic rational
  • Creates project plans, diagrams, journeys, conceptual prototypes and other strategic documentation to communicate vision and clear path forward for validating that vision.
  • Uses storytelling to articulate complex concepts, customer problems, and potential solutions to varying stakeholders and partners across disciplines and the organization
  • Designs and facilitates workshops to extract hypothesis, potential solutions, generate excitement, ensure a common understanding, and foster team alignment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Able to form a tangible User Experience vision with clear objectives and desired outcomes from the nebulous
  • Excellent communicator able to concisely explain complex systems and concepts to various partners and stakeholders
  • Understands and uses collaborative activities to foster alignment and actionable next steps
  • Comfortable working closely with UX Researchers and Data Analysts to gather customer feedback and analytics, especially on 0-1 research methods
  • Insatiable curiosity about customers, technology, the business, and the future of the industry.
  • A natural connector of people, ideas, and technology to identify and solve the right problem.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Previous experience working in a highly transactional financial space
  • Comfortable leading research activities and analysis
  • UX design background with strong propensity for experimentation
