Job Description

U.S. CLO Middle Office Leader

The Middle Office business leader has responsibility for managing all aspects of the P&L for a $10mm plus business. This leader has oversight for client management, business operations, risk management, service delivery, strategy and a separate technology roadmap for a team consisting of approximately 50 plus staff members of various grades. The position reports to the head of the U.S. CLO business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute strategic plans, in conjunction with U.S. CLO leadership, to maximize new business generation, client growth, client retention, product depth, and client lifetime value on a client base
  • Develops and implements business plans, financial policies, and marketing objectives for the group
  • Manages the P&L to drive financial growth with direct ownership of the financial health & performance of the operation.
  • Partners with technology teams to enhance applications supporting the business, including championing capex projects
  • Enable and inspire leaders to the highest standards of execution, problem solving and sound decision making while setting a clear team vision
  • Drive engagement and performance through hands-on leadership, coaching, performance management programs, engagement programs. Builds, attracts, inspires, and develops diverse and high-performing teams
  • Serve as a member of U.S. CLO Senior Leadership team, contributing to strategy development and to the management of the business unit


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of management/leadership experience in banking
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with clear, concise and persuasive communication style that compels action
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals and give insight on industry trends
  • Track record of successfully growing revenue through new business, expanding existing client accounts, pricing optimization, and marketing
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining high levels of operational rigor, risk management, and business excellence.
  • Excellent political savvy and business acumen to work in a matrixed environment with an understanding of how to navigate the organization to clear obstacles and achieve business goals
  • P&L management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the CLO industry preferred
  • Proven ability to take balanced risks
  • Degree in Business, or related field
  • MBA, or advanced degree preferred
