Job Duties

• The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of nursing care in the assigned pre-op and post-operative areas of the surgery center.
• The Registered Nurse will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with the instructions of the physicians and facility administrative procedures.
• The Registered Nurse will participate in various quality activities as appropriate and as directed by the Medical Director or Director of Nursing.
• The Registered Nurse performs nursing care for the patient in the pre-op and immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period, assessing and documenting the patient's status upon arrival at the center and the recovery room.
• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered, monitoring patient and informing surgeon and/or anesthesia provider of observed complications.

Required experience:

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
• PACU/Pre-Op experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing
