Ethan Health has an immediate opening for a Full or Part time Substance Use Therapist for our Richmond location. Individuals must possess excellent documentation & time management skills. Applicant must have experience leading group therapy. Candidate must live in or around Richmond, KY.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will utilize the application of social work theory and methods to the differential diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of bio-psycho-social-spiritual dysfunction, including mental, emotional, behavioral and addictive disorders, and the impact of physical illness, injury and disability on overall functioning. The therapist’s goal is to foster the enhancement and maintenance of physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being and functioning of individuals, families, small groups and communities.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate the medical necessity of services, utilizing the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) guidelines for care.
- Meeting with clients to evaluate their health and Substance Use disorder.
- Collaborate with counselors, physicians, and nurses to plan or coordinate treatment.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals on each visit.
- Leading group psychoeduation sessions
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Organizes professional development and training in diagnosis and assessment, therapy, and charting/documentation as needed.
- Serves as a positive role model by demonstrating professional and caring attitudes and behaviors toward co-workers, patients, and guests.
- Maintains an effective clinical organizational structure and delegate appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Knowledge of administrative, personnel, and clinical policies and procedures, and ability to comply and communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Salary will be based on experience
- Must possess either: LCSW, CSW, LPCC, LPCA, LCADC, CADC
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience with addiction/recovery and/or behavioral health preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
- Strong computer skills and prior EMR knowledge a plus
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must be absent from the Federal Exclusion List
