Urgent Hire - Production Scheduler

SUMMARY:

The Production Scheduler aligns closely with Supply Chain Manager, Operations, Purchasing and Inside Sales. The Production Scheduler is focused on Exceeding Customer Expectation in support of the company overall goals, objectives, mission and vision of the organization. The Production Scheduler will plan and prepare Master Production Schedule and manage raw materials schedule/availability dates. The Production Scheduler will be the primary contact for the inside Sales Department and participate in routine production planning meetings. The Production Scheduler will manage BOM substitutions and stocking programs through IQMS. The Production Scheduler will need skills in process systems including EOQ, ABC and Kanban.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating with secondary processes/outsourcing.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work in a very fast paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Particular expertise in ERP and or MRP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet required.
• Proven team player and a sharp focus on customer service and satisfaction.
• Ability to successfully work both collaboratively and autonomously.
• A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels.
• Individual must be able to walk or navigate about, bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, lift, see, hear, and listen in order to fully perform the functions of this position.
• Infrequent travel may be intermittently required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience in materials management or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in production scheduling and inventory control.
• APICS certification beneficial.
• Intermediate math and numeric aptitude required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact on all levels of the organization.
