Urban Planner

Responsibilities:

- Focus on multimodal and bicycle/pedestrian transportation
- Conduct research and analysis on urban planning projects
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans and policies for land use, transportation, and community development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and address concerns
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for urban planning projects
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software to analyze spatial data
- Evaluate the environmental impact of proposed projects and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
- Assist in the development of zoning regulations and land use ordinances
- Provide expertise and guidance on urban design principles

Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field desired
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations related to urban planning

- Experience with STARS and Project Pipeline studies, SMART Scale process.
- Experience with ArcGIS, CAD, and other relevant software tools
- Familiarity with transportation planning principles and practices
- Strong research skills and the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data
- Experience working on urban planning projects from conception to completion
- Knowledge of contract administration and project management processes
- Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software such as Rhinoceros 3D

Pay: $92,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
