At William Chris Vineyards, we pride ourselves on the continued growth of our business and our team. We are looking for an individual who will join our Uplift Vineyards team as a Tasting Room Supervisor. The successful candidate will guide their team through daily work activities and monitor employee performance to ensure maximum productivity.

Essential functions
Motivate employees, resolve issues, and make difficult decisions
Relaying information between their team and upper management
Managing the workflow of their employees and delegating tasks and projects
Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met
On-going training and education of new procedures and policies
In charge of training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles
Be passionate about quality control and continuous customer satisfaction
Assign roles and tasks to dedicated team members based on strength and abilities
Making sure employees comply with the company’s values and vision
Monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity
Make sure all opening and closing responsibilities are completed daily.
Required education and experience
High school or GED equivalent
Minimum 1 -2 years of Wine Industry experience in a customer-facing hospitality role
Ability to communicate clearly with managers, employees, vendors, and guests
Safe Food Handling Certification (we can provide this course)
TABC Server Certification (we can provide this course)
Experience calculating figures and amounts and performing mathematical functions to meet the business needs
Preferred education and experience
WSET 2
Upscale wine program experience

This position is not eligible for remote work and requires on-site work on a regular basis

Must be able to remain standing and actively working for up to 10 hours with limited breaks
Must have the ability to lift 45lbs. Repeatedly
