Unit Secretary

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is a leading healthcare facility committed to providing high-quality services to our community. Our Diagnostic Imaging department is actively seeking an experienced Unit Secretary to join our growing skilled team.

Responsibilities:

As a Unit Secretary in the Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing general and specialized clerical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining medical records accurately and efficiently
• Answering phone calls and providing information to callers while providing clear and concise patient instructions and managing patient flow within the department
• Handling order entry and requisition services and scheduling modalities for diagnostic procedures and communicating with the healthcare team as well as other hospital departments to facilitate care.

Key Qualifications:

Preferred: Post-high school Vocational/Specialized Training with a focus on medical terminology. On-the-job training or relevant prior experience in a similar role is acceptable.

Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in clerical tasks. Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
