Unit Secretary

• Position Summary

Prepares and compiles records in nursing unit of hospital or medical facility by performing the following duties.

• Position Education / Qualifications

** MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of their time in an air conditioned environment with varying exposure to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position can have light occasional exposure to noxious smells from cleaning agents.
• Personal Protective Equipment: This position may require exposure to infectious wastes such as blood and body fluids that mandate the wearing of gloves, masks, gowns and goggles for every actual or potential exposure.
