Join us at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, GA! The Oncology unit is a fast-paced, 22 bed unit, treating Sickle Cell patients and solid tumors with surgery, radiation, biotherapy, blood products, and chemotherapy.
Once you obtain your Chemotherapy/Biotherapy & ONS Certifications, you will receive $.54 more per hour on this unit.
We're seeking a Unit Charge Nurse, Oncology responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of the night shift. This individual will:
- Supervise staff and facilitates communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
- Be recognized as a change agent and routinely leads efforts to strengthen organizational systems that support the mission, vision, and values of the department.
- Be adept at creative problem-solving, negotiating conflict, and collaborating with others.
- Demonstrate insight, judgment, and clinically sound risk-taking.
- Role model expert communication skills to colleagues through example.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Certification preferred.
- BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
- If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
Salary range: $30.12-54.82/HR
The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications as well as the specialty area, relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity. This position is eligible for shift differentials.
