Unit Assistant/Cna Trainee (Temp)

• Full-Time/Part-Time
• 7am - 3pm/3pm - 11pm

• Unit Assistant will apply and enroll in CNA course offered. Prior/during the class will work as a Unit Assistant (Temp). Must be accepted into the class and intend to take the class when a seat becomes available in order to be hired as a Unit Assistant.
• Unit Assistant will report to Morning Nursing Supervisor/manager when arriving on duty for floor assignment
• Unit Assistant will begin to transport residents to designated dining area for meals and assist seating at appropriate table.
• Dining Room Procedure: assist with handwashing, distribute beverages.
• Meal/Tray delivery. Assist residents with obtaining alternates, opening containers etc.
• Unit Assistant will assist with transport back to units.
• Unit Assistant will assist activity staff with transportation to programs.
• Supervise residents in patio area during nice weather.
• Provide positive interaction with residents and supervise Community areas as needed.
• Assist with meal service, passing and collecting of trays
• Escort residents to off-site appointments
• Tidy up resident’s rooms, linen closets, and make bed

• Must have a sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled.
• Must be able to prioritize, adjust with interruptions, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to build rapport with patients/residents
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and eagerness to help
• Healthcare industry working experience preferred, not required
• Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
