The Division of Hospital Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a motivated, talented, and positive administrator for the position of Unit Administrator 3. The incumbent of the position will be responsible for supporting the Hospital Medicine Leadership, managing the Hospital Medicine staff, and performing their daily duties in an office setting.
The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressive department with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide quality work in an organized, effective and efficient manner through innovation, training, and education. Through our collaborative work effort, we support the faculty and enhance the missions of the department, school, Health Sciences Center and University.

Conditions of EmploymentMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project management, budget development and incentive payments
- Experience in faculty and/or locums hiring and physician credentialing
- Experience in staff hiring including recruitment, Onboarding, training
- Managerial experience with staff and students
- Familiarity with UNM Systems such as Banner 9, Chrome River and UNMJobs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
