L3/Solutions Engineer

I have a full time Unified Communications/Solutions Engineer (L3) to join the team with one of our top tier clients.  This is a senior level role that requires an engineer that can be client facing because you would be spending time at client sides. This role wouldn’t be in the office often.

This role will serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. You will also Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.

  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel.
  • Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
  • Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.
  • Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training.
  • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.

Skills:

  • Can assist with the development of the business case for client technology solutions and design and propose client technology solutions.
  • Advanced on-premise, as well as, cloud solutions design, such as Microsoft Office 365, Azure/SharePoint, VMWare, Cisco / Meraki and other Networking products and other standard technology stack offerings
  • Cloud solutions experience, specifically in Azure and M365 products
  • You'll need to be someone who can take directions from every which way and pull together documentation including BOM's, SOW's and Visio Diagrams for our sales team to sell.

  • Hardware Core / Edge Network Infrastructure and SASE Services
  • Public and Private Cloud services broad understanding of market offerings
  • Evaluate and recommend new products and solutions that will help clients increase efficiencies, scalability, productivity and enhance security.
  • Work with Sales to develop accurate pricing quotes for suggested solutions and preparation of presentations and demonstrations for both the client and internal personnel.
  • Join in sales meetings with clients and prospective clients, on-site and remotely, as needed to develop the sales opportunity.
  • Provide product and service demonstrations and support their sales organization throughout the lead generation and sales processes.
  • Construct detailed project plans with the Service Delivery Team to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Conduct technical portions of sales presentations.
  • Design technology solution along with vendors/partners as needed and Conduct technology assessment/proof of concept of 3rd party technology solutions to meet existing and future needs.
  • Design advanced security implementation and protection solutions
  • Hands-on assistance with project implementation as needed.
