The Unified Communications (UC) Administrator role is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of Microsoft Teams, Conference room phones/boards/devices, and other collaboration technologies. This role reports to the Director of Unified Communications to ensure that technical, compliance, regulatory, resilience and financial objectives are met through administration of conferencing systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.)
  • Resolve problems through research, installation, configuration, and customization of all aspects of a conferencing infrastructure.
  • Work with other IT teams to support the changes to implement and enable the necessary solutions including security, logging, monitoring.
  • Provide architectural design patterns for peer review and education.
  • Demonstrated ability to create project plans, test plans and engineering implementation plans.
  • Communicate project status, dependencies, and requirements to management.
  • Stay current on changes in the Conferencing & Collaboration technology space, especially with Microsoft Teams.
  • Provide Quality of Service and Mean Opinion Score monitoring, reporting, and analysis Perform debugging and problem resolution support; including travelling to branch offices and corporate headquarters to directly provide support when required.
  • Provide on-call operational level support for all facets of conferencing hardware and software.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and related experience.
  • Four + years' experience with enterprise conferencing technology.
  • Analytical skills, problem solving, ability to communicate complex ideas and present to peers.
  • Experience Managing Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrable ability to work with business partners, capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience providing production conferencing support for a large enterprise.
  • Previous experience managing Cisco WebEx Room Kits, Spark Boards, etc.
  • Experience with other enterprise conferencing systems such as Zoom, Cisco WebEx, GotoMeeting, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office productivity suite and Visio.
  • Ability to manage own time.
