We are currently seeking an experienced Underwriting Technician/Rater to expedite the underwriting process in our Commercial Lines unit. Duties include the preparation of quotes, issuance of new and renewal policies, amend existing policies, provide technical assistance to the underwriters and assist agents in their efforts to write business. This is a team environment with all teammates working towards common goals. This position will be located at our Gulf Coast Regional Office in Ridgeland, MS. Grade 8

Qualifications
Education
Required
High School or better.
Experience
Required
* Two years of experience in either an agency or insurance company responsible for all lines of commercial insurance.
* Knowledge of all commercial lines of coverages, rating rules, and procedures.
* Strong knowledge of various PC applications.
* Knowledge of insurance terminology.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
