Underwriting Assistant (Bilingual in Mandarin)

At EZ Capital, we're out to provide smarter financing solutions that help small businesses thrive. Now we are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our team.

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will support the Underwriter and act as the owner and principal facilitator of assigned accounts. The Underwriting Assistant will perform front-to-end activities throughout the life-cycle of prospect and renewal accounts from submission to closing with Underwriting oversight .

Responsibilities:

• Pre-underwrites, evaluates risk, and assesses completeness of the underwriting package before underwriter is required to review. Communicate directly with Account Executives on behalf of the Underwriters to collect required information necessary for risk analysis.
• Perform and apply knowledge of line of business specific product underwriting rules and/or guidelines for pre-analysis support of submission in preparation of further analysis for quoting stage.
• Collaborate effectively with internal units to manage the status and workflow of multiple tasks and accounts.
• Communicate account status to ensure completion of open stipulations needed for quote generation.
• Manage the workflow of multiple tasks and maintain a detailed understanding of the status of various tasks owned by Underwriters, Account Executives and other internal units involved.
• Help with contract preparation and correspond verbally and in written format with clients, to achieve a high level of accuracy.
• Issue notices (Renewal, Late Payment Notice and other documents in accordance with underwriting policy).
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance/economics/related majors

Detail oriented
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal teams.
Proven prioritization and time management skills with accurate results.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel.
Able to communicate, read and write in both English and Mandarin
