Unarmed Security Guard

We are currently looking for entry-level unarmed officers to work in the North Kansas City area at the Aloft and Element Hotels.

The Hotels are looking for strong-minded hardworking individuals to join our growing team of dedicated security officers. If you have a positive attitude, professional demeanor, outstanding customer service skills WE WANT YOU! We are currently seeking candidates for our full-time position. Must have transportation to drive through the parking lots throughout the night.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Implement and enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any security risks or vulnerabilities
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies in emergency situations or when necessary
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, guests, and the public
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
• Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
• Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working conditions.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
• First Aid, CPR, and other relevant certifications are preferred
• Familiarity with surveillance techniques and procedures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed inside and outside at adjoined properties with exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions, inclement weather, unpredictable crisis situations, and possible combative individuals. Rare but possible exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids may occur.

This job requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, running, carrying and climbing. Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
