Trust Consulting Services is looking to hire an Unarmed Security Guardto support the Maryland Legislative Sessions at the Annapolis State Center (ASC). The Unarmed Security Guard maintains fixed security post at the entrances of the Legislative and additional State buildings. Guards shall maintain a safe and secure environment for the employees and visitors of the ASC facility and grounds.
Responsibilities:
Ensure no unauthorized person or persons are in the building.
Ensure that all ACS and State employees visibly display their ID badges while entering the facility at any time and that badges are visible throughout the day.
Obtain proper driver’s license/photo ID for all visitors prior to granting access to the building; issue the appropriate visitor ID badge(s) to the visitor, ensure that all visitors are escorted to their destinations when required
Observe activities of individuals in the building to ensure that building rules and regulations are observed by requesting compliance.
Monitor security cameras located on the premises (i.e. back door, loading dock, entrance, parking lots and security gate.) Communicate with visitors and/or delivery personnel at the security gate for access to lot.
Control access to parking lot; enforce rules on parking in permit areas, visitor parking areas and restricted parking areas.
Report any unusual activity or security violations to the facility manager.
Maintain a daily duty log, noting all activities and incidents that occurred during each shift.
Qualifications:
Licensed Security Guard in the State of Maryland. (preferred)
Must possess a valid Maryland Driver's License or Maryland Non-Driver’s ID
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent
Must have strong communication skills
Be proficient in the English language (i.e. read, write, speak)
Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance while on duty.
Must have the ability to write incident reports and statements
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to complete a background check
Must be approved to work in the United States

Term: Contract through April 10, 2023,
Salary: $15.13 per hour

Monday- Friday
Shift 1: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Shift 2: 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
