Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, may take direction from Lead Technologists. Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures; calibrates and operates ultrasound equipment. Processes images and coordinates patient care with other patient services. Maintains patient records, keeps track of inventory, orders supplies and maintains proper working order of equipment. Technologist focus on infant, children and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.
Pay Range
Minimum $41.85 Midpoint $55.46 Maximum $69.05
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Graduate from approved program of Ultrasonography
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography-Abdomen
  • Basic Life Support
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS)

Preferred:
  • One to three years working in an acute care pediatric environment
  • Three to five years working in an acute care setting
  • Advance certification for Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT) a plus.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart.

Sensory Requirements:

Airborn Communicable Disease, Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical, Dust Particular Matter, Extreme Noise Levels, Extreme Temperatures, Radiation, Uneven Surfaces or Elevations
