Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for Ultrasound Tech to work onsite at contracted facilities in Bethel, AK.
Shift information: Day Shift; M-F; Rotating on call

Summary:

• The Ultrasound Technologists utilizes ultrasound imaging equipment to visualize internal organs and structures for the purpose of diagnosing abnormalities.

Essential Functions:

• Performs a wide variety of complex ultrasound examinations such as; pelvic sono, biophysical profile, ob sono, abdomen, kidney, breast, testicular, thyroid and color-flow Doppler studies of veins and carotid arteries.
• Reviews request from physicians and determine the appropriate procedure and equipment necessary to obtain the desired images. Records patient history.
• Assists in performance of invasive procedures such as needle guided biopsies and aspirations.
• Able to visualize the function and position of three dimensional forms within the body from a two dimensional presentation.
• Monitors patient condition during examination and provides excellent customer service..
• Coordinates with vendors for service and notifies manager with any equipment issues.
• Coordinates patient information with PACS and EMR to save data.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

• Graduate of an AMA approved program.

Experience:

• One year preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

• Current BLS or CPR
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of anatomy to visualize and document medically significant findings.
