Form of workOur Ultra Optics Division is currently seeking a full-time Sales Support Coordinatorfor our Brooklyn Park location. Ultra Optics is the industry leader in premier quality coatings and the equipment used to apply scratch-resistant coating to ophthalmic lenses. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!
Job Summary:
This position will provide sales, customer and marketing support as well as support project management and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include: quoting support, machine order processing, sales paperwork, reporting, database maintenance, customer information gathering, managing leads, trade show support, promotional calls to solicit sales, information gathering and supporting the team on projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare quotes, sales documentation, and other customer requested information in support of Sales Team
- Complete machine order processing (including sales order entry)
- Complete, maintain and process pertinent paperwork and reporting
- Schedule and arrange customer visits and demonstrations
- Discover and qualify sales leads and communicate them to the sales team
- Provide Sales Meeting and Trade Show support
- Maintain and continually update customer information ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Provide account set up and maintenance support
- Understand and explain the basic features and benefits of using the equipment and supplies distributed by Ultra Optics to our customers.
- Perform promotional calls to solicit sales over the phone.
- Provide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employees. Attend in-house or Walman sponsored training meetings when necessary to assure proper cross training in all aspects of position requirements and maintain current knowledge of products and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualification:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of marketing, sales and/or administrative support experience.
- PC skills (preferably with Microsoft Office Suite)
- Integrated software system experience (preferably with JD Edwards) required.
- Strong communications skills required
- A positive attitude with focus on customer satisfaction is a must.
- Must be able to sit 80% of the workday
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be US citizens or have legal authorization to work.
