Ui/Ux Design Strategist

We are seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Design Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the user experience and interface design of our digital products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, design thinking methodologies, and a proven ability to craft strategic design solutions that align with business goals.
Responsibilities

• Serve as Design Strategist to the project and develop design strategy for application development. Manage and develop design prototypes using interactive wireframes (low to mid fidelity) with emerging designs aligned with digital innovation, resolving complex business workflow.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and vendors to effectively promote innovative design and user experience.
• Prepare detailed documentation on all aspects of the integrated enterprise design strategy.
• Provides support to the project's development team.
• Collaborate and maintain effective relationships with the staff and system development teams as needed.
• Consults with vendors, contractors, project team, software development team, and consultants relative to the establishment of and adherence to industry best practices and technical standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience in strategizing and managing UI/UX projects, implementing design and enhanced user experience on web applications through design process: ability to take and incorporate feedback into design iterations, prototype development, and modification with the understanding of design principles, usability, and user-centered design.
• Five years of proficiency and understanding of design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar. Knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and prototyping. Ability to implement new design trends, tools, vand technologies. Familiarity with front-end development technologies and coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) can be a plus.

Desirable

• Experience in strategizing and managing UI/UX projects (preferably in the education sector)
• Experience in strategic design of online web applications
• Experience in developing and managing design process with project leads, focus groups, etc.
• Implementation of design solutions for complex business workflows
• Understanding of data systems and design
• Development of screen mock-ups and prototypes using interactive wireframes (low to mid fidelity)

The US base range for this contract position is $65-70/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
