We are seeking a talented and experienced UI Architect to join our dynamic team. The UI Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing the user interface (UI) for our software applications, ensuring an exceptional user experience and seamless navigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI design principles, front-end development, and a proven record of accomplishment of creating visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- UI Design and Development:
- Lead the design and development of the user interface for web and mobile applications.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Implement responsive and scalable UI solutions that meet business requirements and user needs.
- Adoption of reusable UI components and template driven designs using web components, micro-front ends, and other advanced techniques.
- Technology Leadership:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI design and development.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the UI development process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall architectural and development goals.
- Usability and Accessibility:
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve UI designs.
- Ensure that UI designs comply with accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of UI components.
- Documentation:
- Document UI patterns, guidelines, and best practices to facilitate consistent design and development across projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive UI documentation for reference and training purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science
- 10 years experience in a software development environment.
- 3+ years experience as a UI Architect or similar role
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Experience with UI design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Knowledge of design principles, user experience, and usability best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of UI developers.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
This role is fully remote for candidates who reside at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Francisco or San Ramon locations, this role will be Hybrid.

Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
