We are seeking a Unified Communications Project Manager who excels at overseeing projects from inception to completion with a primary emphasis on building great relationships with clients and maintaining profitability. In this position, you will be responsible for advancing projects through our internal departments and systems, profit and loss decisions, maintain and creating documentation, and communication with the client. To be successful in this role, some Project Managing experience is essential. You should have a mastery of client advocacy and bring a strong track record of maintaining safeguards for the organization. We are looking for a team-player who is inspired by helping your fellow team members overcome obstacles, work through problems, and share the project work-load when needed. You should be comfortable asking questions and seeking help and moving forward when faced with the unknown.
Job Duties:
- Lead the execution of large-scale complex commercial Microsoft Teams engagements, accountable for overall project success and profitability
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all project milestones and deliverables
- Creates and maintain project documentation including project charters, project plans, RAID log, communication plan, budgets, labor plans, invoicing, and project management task worksheets.
- Reviews statements of work and proposals for accuracy and completeness.
- Profit & loss leadership on small to large projects as assigned and runs reports and analyzes data to help determine project health and trends
- Facilitates collaboration with purchasing, engineering, and business development departments on project-specific issues and opportunities to ensure project deadlines and KPIs are met.
- Oversee cross-functional project team to include Engineering, Administration, Purchasing and Field Staff
- Timely and direct communication with all stakeholders: clients, architects, vendors, electricians & general contractors regarding all project matters.
- Understands and drives to achieve our “trusted advisor” goal with every client.
- Participates in weekly PM Team meetings to drive process and successful delivery framework with other Project Managers.
- Develops and recommends process improvements to support increased efficiencies.
- Constantly developing both project management & industry technology knowledge.
- Occasional local or national travel to visit project sites
What You Need to be Successful:
- BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience serving as primary Project Manager on transformational services engagements (strong preference given for experience with Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions)
- Experience in planning or managing Unified Communications and Collaboration projects
- Demonstrated capability in managing large, global, complex UC and Collaboration implementations through project lifecycle
- Ability to manage complex projects involving solutions from vendors with third party products that integrate with and augment UC technology
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build, extend, and maintain senior client relationships
- Documented and successful track record of leading teams comprising of domain experts and other PMO professionals including Project Coordinators and technical resources
- Commitment to organizational and departmental efficiencies and willing to drive impactful changes
- Unparalleled verbal, oral, and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- PMP Certification
- Understanding of organizational change management best practice
- Working knowledge of Odoo/ERP platforms, ServiceNow, MS Visio, SharePoint, and MS Project
- ITIL Foundations V3 or higher certification
