SalaryOur company has a position open for a DNA collector at our Morehouse Parish Health Unit in Bastrop, LA. As a DNA collector, you will be conducting buccal swab testing on clients that wish to determine the paternity of a child. This is an extremely part time position and a collector will be needed on site for two(2) shifts per Month.
Having a medical background is preferred but not required for this position. Applicants should have great customer service skills and work well in a team environment, yet be able to work independently. Applicants must be reliable, professional, and have a great attitude.
- DRAW SITE: Morehouse Parish Health Unit
- RECURRING SCHEDULE: Two (2) Tuesdays per Month; 9:00am-3:00pmpm (schedule for the year is provided in advance)
- PAY RATE: $15.00/Hour
All staff will receive complete online and over-the-phone training and supplies needed for this position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform cheek swab (buccal) specimen collection
- Take photos and ink prints of all clients
- Complete a Chain of Custody Form for each clients
- Ensure specimens are properly and accurately labeled
- Ship samples through FedEx at the end of the day (shipping supplies provided)
- Keep track of inventory and submit supply orders as needed
- Able to work with the public and be professional
