POSITION SUMMARY

Join the innovative team at Frontier Door and Cabinet as a Machine Operator, specializing in cabinet manufacturing for multi-family residential, single-family residential, and commercial projects. Operating within our cabinets department at our manufacturing facility in El Paso, TX, you'll play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that cabinet components meet the highest standards of quality and precision. This position entails working on a Swing Shift schedule to meet production demands effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform vendor research and selection to optimize profitability, reduce operating costs, and enhance efficiency.

· Manage purchase orders, shipping schedules, and purchase records, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials.

· Collaborate with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

· Conduct ongoing market research to identify advantageous purchase agreements and potential vendors.

· Assist Buyers in creating and improving vendor management processes, including compliance requirements related to purchasing and inventory control.

· Coordinate small, quick-turn projects and provide administrative support as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· High School diploma or GED required.

· Minimum of 3-6 months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

· Previous experience with tools and/or industrial machines preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Proficiency in basic mathematics and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.

· Demonstrated situational awareness in detecting any deviations in the functioning of the machine, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.

· Ability to understand, read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Commitment to prioritizing safety at all times while working in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to stand throughout the shift and perform repetitive tasks.

This role is based at our manufacturing facility in El Paso, TX. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on meeting production demands while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Swing Shift position, flexibility in scheduling is required to accommodate production needs.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required. This will include safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection (when needed) while on the production floor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
