We are seeking someone to join our Client Services Team in our small but growing Reno office. This is a full-time position working with trusts and companies, including components of banking, trust and estate law, tax and asset management.

 

Please note that this position is NOT remote, and employees are expected to report to the Reno office.

 

As a small office, we each wear many different hats on a given day but work collaboratively as a team. Successful candidates for this role will demonstrate their technical strengths and contribute to our day-to-day client operations, with attention to detail in complying with all policies, procedures, and fiduciary practices.

 

Prior knowledge of trust administration is required. In addition, a professional demeanor with interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality is a must. You would work as part of a team with the administration of various trust accounts.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Trust Officer supporting a variety of trusts and companies to ensure each is administered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and the terms of the governing documents
  • On-boarding new Clients including assembling and reviewing new account pre-acceptance materials, such as trust instruments, partnership agreements, KYC information, and trust accounting records
  • Review financial statements and trust accountings
  • Apply principles of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), and other state or country trust regulations, applicable to trust administration and understand the tax implications of the various kinds of trusts
  • Effectively establish, manage and support client relationships through interaction with grantors/settlors, beneficiaries, advisors and other related parties
  • Participate in and implement fiduciary decisions based on client requests and terms of the governing documents
  • Perform initial and annual reviews of assigned trusts
  • Coordinate client and internal transactions, including money movement, with bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents and/or consultants
  • Other operational and administrative tasks and duties as required.

 

Educational and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Emphasis in Fiduciary / Law / Paralegal preferred)
  • 3-5 years of trust administration or previous experience involving High-Net-Worth Individuals in a private banking/fiduciary environment
  • Experience with ultra-high net worth multi-generational $50MM+ families with complicated assets and sophisticated trust structures strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to sophisticated trust and asset structures
  • Valid US Passport

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill with attention to detail in all facets of the job
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Small team compatibility with adaptable approach in the work environment
  • Capable of acting independently and multitasking while retaining high quality standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
