Truck Shop Technician

O'Day Equipment is a B2B petroleum equipment and service company founded in 1935 in Fargo, ND. For over 80 years, our focus has been to provide equipment and service for motor fueling systems in the upper Midwest. We exist to deliver tools and expertise to solve customer problems and help them make more money.

Position Summary: Perform inspections, repair, and installation of equipment on Refined Fuel and LP delivery trucks and trailers.

Specific Duties include:

• Accountable for providing outstanding customer service
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and install equipment on customer's trucks
• Repair petroleum, water and industrial pumping and metering systems, reels and other truck tank components
• Understands and repairs electronic pumping and related electrical systems
• Maintain and follow all regulations that pertain to Truck Shop repair
• Safety focused work
• Accountable for Inventory maintenance
• Some travel is required

Additional Information:

• O'Day will provide on the job training
• Extensive heavy lifting and bending required
• Must hold and maintain valid commercial driver's license

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Must be able to attend and pass required certifications for job.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Activity – frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion
• Heavy Work – exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20lbs for force constantly to move objects
• Visual Acuity – required to have close visual acuity to perform duties such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, machine operation, using measurement devices, operate machines, perform mechanical work, operate motor vehicles
• Working Conditions – subject to both environmental conditions – activities occur inside and outside
