Responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repairs on spotter truck equipment in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Repair and maintain spotter truck equipment.
- Performs troubleshooting and repair of systems and components, as required.
- Maintains accurate records, as required.
- Perform detailed equipment inspections and preventative maintenance following OEM specifications.
- Responds to any customer related equipment requests.
- Follow all company and Railroad safety policies.
- Perform maintenance on support equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, etc.
Additional Information
This position is a part of a union; meaning all employees shall be obligated to become members of the Union after the thirtieth (30th) day of employment as a condition of continued employment. Any employee who fails to become a member of the Union by his own choice and not by refusal of the Union, or who fails to maintain his Union membership shall forfeit his right of employment.
What You'll NeedRequired:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3- 5 years of experience with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining heavy equipment/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability/Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in the presence of loud machinery
- Basic knowledge of SPC fundamentals.
- Ability to understand and follow all company and Railroad safety policies.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Own tools required
Preferred
- Strong troubleshooting abilities (Welding is a plus)
- Willingness to work after hour call outs.
- Willingness to work any shift

- This role requires employees to be on-site during designated shift hours.
