Job Summary: Production Tool Systems is seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting products and materials to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of our products to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Operation of Delivery Truck:Operate a delivery truck in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and report any maintenance or repair needs.
Timely Deliveries:Deliver a wide range of products and materials to assigned destinations on time.
Plan and organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure timely delivery to customers.
Coordinate delivery schedules with the logistics team to meet customer demands.
Customer Service:Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with unloading and delivering products to customers.
Ensure all products are delivered in excellent condition and handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
Recordkeeping:Maintain accurate delivery and mileage logs, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed correctly.
Report any incidents, accidents, or violations to the supervisor immediately.
Load and Unload:Safely load and unload products and materials, ensuring that they are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
Maintenance and Care:Keep the delivery truck clean and well-maintained.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Follow all company and regulatory guidelines related to the transportation and handling of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery truck driver is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repairs is a plus.
