The driver will transport and deliver parts in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner to LOCAL customer sites.

We are seeking Drivers - Day Cab - (CDL- A) Shuttle Drivers to join our team!
We Day and Night shift positions available...
Duties and Responsibilities
You will:
- Shuttle parts to LOCAL facilities (within a 10-mile radius)
- Be responsible for safely operating a truck with a large capacity Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
- Represent Topre and the industry in a professional manner.
- Safely operate a heavy truck or tractor-trailer truck
- Hook and unhook trailers; Deck trailers as needed.
- Secure freight: install and remove tire chains as required by weather.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure that operations are compliant with local, state, and federal laws & regulations.
- Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer any defects / repairs to proper TOPRE Company personnel.
- Inspect truck before and after every trip.
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch.
- Properly track and document in the activity log
Qualifications and Credentials necessary to perform the job.
- Valid (CDL- A) Commercial driving license
- Previous tractor / trailer driving experience.
- Clean Background and Driving Record
- Strong Work Ethic
- Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety guidelines
- Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT and pass required drug / alcohol test along with the Physical Requirements
- Available for local, statewide trips and able to remain alert while driving for long periods.
- Able to squat, crouch and reach as needed, able to enter and exit the vehicle's cab numerous times each day.
- Able to access and manually release fifth wheel lever and tandem pins which requires horizontal pulling.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions - both heat and cold
- Able to enter and exit the vehicle's cab numerous times each day.
- Able to secure freight should the need arise.
