Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Night Shift CDL-A Driver starting at $27.50/hr to operate an end dump and super roll off from Monday-Friday, 6:00pm-6:00am, some weekends, and over time.
As a CDL-A Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from our client facilities located is Bowling Green, Ohio and Tecumseh, Michigan. Your expertise in operating commercial vehicles, adherence to traffic regulations, and commitment to safety will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of our operations. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operating a CDL-A class end dump or super roll off to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Safely loading and unloading metal materials using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Performing manual tarping if necessary
- Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
- Providing professional and courteous customer service during deliveries, interacting with customers and handling inquiries or concerns in a polite and helpful manner
- Adhering to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Qualifications
- Must be physically fit to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
- Valid CDL-A driver's license with a clean MVR and Medical Card
- Experience driving 18 speed, manual transmission is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an CDL-A Driver, preferably in a transportation or logistics setting
- Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate various road and traffic conditions
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required
- Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
