​​Position Overview:
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of incoming and outgoing aircraft cargo units to be delivered at our operations facility. Truck Drivers will play a key role with ensuring the timely arrival of these units in order for the cargo to be loaded into the aircraft(s) on schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

• Proactively foster a learning safety culture by modeling a safe work ethic and promoting the value of open reporting and shared safety responsibility. Follow all safety policies, standards, and procedures in order to achieve a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, customers, and visitors. Similarly support Inland’s environmental commitments by helping to limit our organization’s impact on the ecosystem.
• Abide by Inland’s procedural handbooks, operational plans, and directives of management to ensure that all work is done according to specifications and/or regulations;
• Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift and mechanized equipment;
• Document, record, and track all required log sheets FMCSA and Quantem Aviation Services requirements;
• Identify, troubleshoot and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles;
• Perform administrative tasks including maintaining information files and processing paperwork and travel logs;
• Inspection of truck(s) before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition;
• Service truck with fuel, oil and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor-trailer;
• Inspection of cargo to ensure all units are properly secured and loaded;
• Long distance driving;
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers to ensure that all cargo is picked up and delivered in a timely manner;
• Onloading and offloading of cargo units to be dropped off/picked up at the operations facility;

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Clean driver’s abstract;
• Must obey and follow all applicable traffic laws;
• Minimum two years’ commercial driving experience;
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform vehicle maintenance;
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
• Ability to read and interpret written communication and reports;
• Sitting while driving for long periods of time in possible inclement weather;
• Ability to use hands and arms to install, position, move and manipulate items;
• Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and handle materials;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Valid driver’s license;
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) is required;
• Able to pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department of transportation regulation;

**Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future.
