A Day in The Life of a CDL Truck Driver
As a CDL Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. * Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Must have CDL Classification/Certification. Requires applicable Truck Driver license for state.
- Drive a truck with capacity up to three tons and usually six wheels to transport materials.
- Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo.
- Prepare delivery schedule.
- Deliver materials to locations designated by the customer.
- Obtain customer’s signature for proof of delivery and help to unload truck.
- Perform the duties of Warehouse Associate when not driving the truck and making deliveries.

Education & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid CDL License.
- 2 years required of truck driving experience.
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
- Vision - near, far, night.
- Ability to detect or tell differences between sounds varying in pitch and loudness.
- Ability to quickly respond (with hand, finger, foot) to signals (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
