Registered Nurse for outpatient clinic in the Atlanta area. The schedule is 7:30 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday with no weekends. The Registered Nurse will have the following duties:
•Responds to patient phone calls and inquiries. Evaluates calls and messages and prioritizes according to the level of urgency.
• Determines initial assessment of patient condition
• Confers with provider as appropriate. Implements orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Determines appropriate plan of care according to established guidelines
• Acts as a liaison between provider and patients
• Responsible for accurate documentation in the EMR of all patient encounters. Documents into EMR-Allscripts when needed
• Accurately performs clinical procedures
• Refills medication as appropriate, per guidelines
• Maintains clean and sterile technique with clinical procedures
• Assists patients with transfers using good body mechanics and maintaining patient safety
• Calculates and documents medications including chemotherapeutic agents
• Complies with center policies and procedures
• Communicates information to patients and families accurately
• Provides patients with written material as appropriate
• Assesses patient’s understanding of information
• Documents teaching in the EMR
• Demonstrates care and compassion when interacting with patients
• Maintains patient and clinic confidentiality
This opportunity is a Direct Hire position with excellent benefits plan, PTO, and 401k. The salary is paying $35-$40 and hour depending on experience.
