Description

Treatment Program Manager  

 

Compensation: $65,000 - $82,000

 

A valid South Carolina independent professional license preferred: LISW-S or LPC-S; or LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Addiction Counselor (masters and above), Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist; required

 

The Program Manager role in South Carolina with National Youth Advocate Program will develop and lead treatment foster care and behavioral health program teams to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and high-quality care to the people we serve. This position directly impacts Behavioral Health and Foster Care Programs. This leadership role will work closely with staff, youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Behavioral Health:

  • Administers program contracts while aggressively seeking the growth and expansion to meet community need through relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provides clinical coordination state-wide for individual, family and group counseling, and individual supervision of all staff as assigned.
  • Oversees Diagnostic Assessment, treatment plan development, attend treatment team meetings and any other meetings on behalf of the client.
  • Utilize the EHR with efficiency and supports the full functionality of EHR implementation by liaising with the IT and Education teams for support.
  • Maintains productivity standards on weekly and monthly basis.
  • Coordinates and develops training activities.

Foster Care:

  • Responsible for growing statewide treatment foster care services that ensure children and youth have a foster home prepared with the knowledge, skills and supports necessary for safety, permanency, and wellbeing.
  • Responsible for the operation of foster care program services
  • Works with Therapists and Treatment Coordinators in coordinating services for youth including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
  • Educate internal team, external partners, and foster parents on barriers to and solutions for successful family functioning for foster and biological family stabilization.
  • Work diligently with placing agencies, staff, and foster parents to effect and support rapid and lasting placements with a focus on permanency.

Supervisory and Leadership:

  • Lead regional Behavioral Health and Foster Care teams
  • Ensures program compliance with RBHS requirements, SC contract terms, NYAP policy/procedures, and COA standards.
  • Ensures training plans support excellence in persons served treatment, employee professional development, and NYAPs evidence -based practice initiatives.  
  • Embrace community engagement opportunities including public speaking.
  • Ability to travel locally and provide on-call services and work with children, adults and families as necessary or assigned.
  • Provides timely reporting to supervisor and external stakeholders as required.
  • Additional and other duties as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters’ degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution; required
  • A valid South Carolina independent professional license preferred: LISW-S or LPC-S; or LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Addiction Counselor (masters and above), Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist; required
  • Supervisory and leadership experience with South Carolina Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBHS) strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of combined work experience in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred
  • A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Proficient use of Excel.

Driving and Vehicle Requirements

 

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
