About the Role
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting treasury with managing cash flow forecasting, debts & interests, intercompany loans, cash repatriations, banking relationships, contingent liability instruments, business insurance requests, and FX activities as needed.
This position will be located at the Watlow headquarters office in St. Louis and report to the Global Treasurer.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Global Treasurer to update 13-week rolling cash flow forecast model and review variance analysis to improve cash management strategies
- Execute day-to-day cash management activities including cash positions, investments, and payments
- Prepare weekly global cash balance and forecast report for management review
- Support cash repatriation to the US for strategic business objectives & growth
- Perform daily bank reconciliation and ensure all cash transactions are posted for month-end close
- Assist business needs with insurance renewals, claims and certificate requests
- Coordinate issuance of standby letters of credit/bank guarantees and surety bonds
- Responsible for intercompany loan tracking and interest calculations
- Report quarterly interest expense and income to tax
- Manage relationships with global banking partners and ensure proper banking controls are in place across the various banking platforms
- Analyze bank fees and recommend cost savings
- Administer electronic banking platforms
- Review and approve Mexico nettings
- Execute FX spot trades and transactions approved by Treasurer
- Calculate and validate term-loan/revolver interests and fees
- Automate internal processes to reduce Treasury operation time spent on manual process
- Ensure accurate maintenance of global bank accounts
- Analyze and consolidate bank accounts where possible to reduce exposures with non-relationship banks
- Assist in documenting and monitoring appropriate internal controls
- Handle miscellaneous Treasury projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting required
- 0-1 year of professional experience with related treasury exposure
- Certified Treasurer Professional-CTP Certification preferred
- Strong attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and self-managed with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization
- Demonstrate initiative, commitment, and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
