Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Traveling Refrigeration Superintendent to be based out of our Canton, GA location.
You will oversee the installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems in supermarkets and grocery stores nationwide. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and quality in our refrigeration projects.

What You’ll Do:
  • Supervising and inspecting the day-to-day operations of refrigeration projects, including case setting, piping, and the installation and removal of refrigerated cases.
  • Coordinating closely with store management, subcontractors, and Place Services Inc. (PSI) employees to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Managing and assisting subcontractors, setting expectations, and holding them accountable for their work.
  • Ensuring job site safety, including adherence to OSHA standards, and reporting and documenting safety measures.
  • Completing all on-site paperwork, securing job sites, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Conducting risk assessments and managing project schedules, including immediate and two-week lookahead planning.
  • Providing direct communication with clients, offering project details and updates.

What You Bring:
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in supermarket/grocery store refrigeration systems, including case setting and large refrigeration space oversight.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role with a focus on commercial refrigeration or similar projects.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications.
  • An understanding of architectural and structural drawings is preferred.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to manage both subcontractors and in-house teams effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, with flexibility to work weekends and nights as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and working at heights.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification, along with basic first aid and CPR training.
