Agricultural Machinery Mechanic - Growth Opportunity
Quality Drills is a fast-growing, Agricultural Machinery service company based in Windsor, CO. We are committed to helping American farmers nationwide with their no-till planting equipment. We are looking for highly motivated and hard-working individuals to join our crew as a mechanic to assemble and repair specific farm machinery and tools. You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of the repairs completed on the equipment and hydraulic systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. In addition, they must be able to work with various machines and tools while following all safety precautions.
Mechanic/Oilfield experience is preferred but not required. However, we are willing to train the right individuals. Mechanics will travel for 1-3 weeks, generally following a rotation of 14 days on, followed by 4 days off, 50-90 hour work weeks with travel, fuel, and hotels paid for by the company. $25/day per diem included. After 90 days of full-time employment, Quality Drills will offer health insurance benefits with a 3% matching 401K plan, a $150.00 bib allowance, a company jacket, and 80 hours of PTO accrued throughout the year. If not used, can cash out at the end of the year. Mechanics also have the opportunity to earn high-paying performance-based bonuses throughout their employment. Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
Skills
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.)
- The ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, diagrams, etc.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
- A problem-solving ability
- Excellent physical strength and stamina; Must be able to lift 75+ pounds
Requirements
- Must be willing to travel at least 75% of the time
- Ability to work outdoors
- Must be able to pass a drug test & background check
